Samsung has officially launched its One UI 9 software update, bringing a variety of advanced features and enhancements to millions of Galaxy smartphone users.
Currently, the stable update is accessible for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra, with no further expansion announced untill yet.
However , the South-Korean tech giant is likely to gradually expand the launch to extra Galaxy devices, with the Galaxy S25 series and Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 slated to get the update from September 28 in Thailand.
One UI 9 launches multiple AI-powered tools. My FanCam can automatically track a selected person in a video and keep them centered, while Now Nudge offers context-based suggestions in messaging apps, like opening Maps or creating a calendar reminder.
Moreover, Samsung has added Generative and Editable Cards to Now Brief, letting users customize their daily summaries. The Warranty and Care feature brings warranty information, diagnostics, repair estimates and service booking directly into Settings.
Other additions include Creative Studio that suggests image-generation ideas depend on the forthcoming events, and enhancements to Interpreter, Document Scan and Voice Recorder.
Security also got multiple upgrades. Security Brief can offer permission warnings and malware, while Privacy Alerts use on-device AI to detect possible privacy risks. Scam Detection is also diversifying to more languages and countries.
Samsung has yet to provide a complete global launch for older devices. However, the Galaxy S23 FE is likely to get One UI 9 in October in Thailand, while the Galaxy S24, S23 and selected A-series models are currently undergoing beta testing.
