Just 14 days after the funeral of King Harald, the Norwegian Royal Family laid Princess Astrid.
The funeral, held at Ris Church in Oslo, on Wednesday, September 23, was attended by King Haakon, Queen Mette-Marit, Crown Princess Ingrid, and Queen Sonja, alongside Astrid's own children and other relatives.
Besides the Norwegian royals, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Princess Astrid of Begium and Prince Lorenz were also among the attendees.
No British Royals at Princess Astrid's funeral
While the British royals were not part of the funeral, Buckingham Palace left a heartfelt tribute.
A wreath of white roses signed "Anne" was seen at the funeral, with a message, reading, "With love and happy memories".

Princess Anne, alongside Prince William, attended the funeral service for King Harald two weeks ago.
Astrid, the last surviving child of King Olav V and Princess Märtha of Sweden, passed away at the age of 94 on September 11, just two days after the funeral of the late monarch, King Harald.
The Princess' last public appearance was her brother's funeral on September 9.
King Harald V of Norway died on August 28th, 2026, at Rikshospitalet (the National Hospital) in Oslo after being treated for a bloodstream infection and haemolytic anaemia.
Royal Family on Princess Astrid's funeral
Announcing her funeral, the royal family shared a heartfelt tribute to Princess Astrid, noting, "Throughout a long life she supported the Royal House and worked under four kings: King Haakon VII, her father King Olav V, her brother King Harald V and, until the end, His Majesty King Haakon VIII."
"In recognition of her great efforts and warm loyalty, Princess Astrid was granted an honorary pension by the government on her 70th birthday in 2002," the statement added.
Princess Astrid and her husband, Johan Martin Ferner, had five children: Catherine, Benedikte, Alexander, Elisabeth, and Carl-Christian, who have always remained out of the public eye.
