Prince William has spoken out after his brother, Prince Harry, encountered a bizarre glitch.
The Prince of Wales sat down with Thomas Duke, the content creator behind Stepping Through Film, to look at film journals and talk about movies.
During the discussion he opened up about his passion for film, sharing that “I'm a massive Christopher Nolan fan. Yeah, I absolutely love his films.”
He also shared about Nolan’s The Odyssey, saying, “I watched it recently this summer. I thought it was fantastic. I love the way his characters kind of brew a bit.”
William added, “And he has always a slight darker edge to his characters, which I really like. I think sometimes some of the films can be a bit too frivolous or a bit too sort of shallow. And I like the way Christopher goes into sort of more depth and more darkness in all his films.”
When asked about his first Nolan film experience, he said, “The one that left the biggest impression on me early on was The Dark Knight. I absolutely love that,” adding, “I love Dark Knight. I thought that was, for me, I thought he completely revolutionised the Batman franchise for another generation. And I liked the dark edginess of it.”
He said his interactions with Nolan are usually brief, adding that he would like to spend more time with the filmmaker and learn from his experience and knowledge.
To note, William’s remarks came after his estranged brother Prince Harry faced a technical malfunction while delivering a speech about the dangers of technology.
On Wednesday, September 23, the Duke of Sussex spoke at the Clinton Global Initiative in New York City about AI, social media and their effects on children.
Midway through his speech, a teleprompter glitch forced him to pause and leave the stage. “And that’s it?” he asked after the screen failed.
