Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has used his platform at the United Nations General Assembly to attack critics, Iran and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, as well as allied countries like the United Kingdom, Turkiye and France.
According to Al Jazeera, as Netanyahu addressed at the UNGA on Thursday, September 24, dozens of envoys from around the world walked out as the speech began, some jeering and booing, while Netanyahu’s own team stood and applauded, and the speaker of the session shouted for order.
Netanyahu said, “If there are any other moral cowards who haven’t left this hall, please do so now.”
Talking about the war that the US and Israel launched on Iran in February, he said, “Devastating Iran’s nuclear facilities was hard, was very hard to do. But for me, it was one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever had to make as prime minister”, claiming that if he had not, “we’d all be dead.”

Netanyahu on Thursday said that Israel was fighting a “seven-front war”, including Gaza, the occupied West Bank, Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Yemen’s Houthis and militias in Iraq.
“We are going to win. We have no other choice,” Netanyahu declared.
Netanyahu forecast Iranian government fall
Netanyahu told the UN General Assembly on Thursday that the fall of the Iranian government is “only a matter of time,” predicting that one day the Iranian people “will be free.”
He said, “Their murderous regime will be toppled by its lies, by its corruption, by its cruelty. This evil regime will fall, and we will all celebrate.”
During his address, Netanyahu displayed a Starlink satellite, saying Tehran’s leaders fear technology “that allows people to access truth, to exercise choice, to exercise freedom of thought, and freedom of speech.”
He said he would leave the device with the assembly’s president to pass on to the Iranian delegation, which was absent from his speech.
Netanyahu has frequently used gimmicks and visual aids during his UN speeches to emphasize a point, often related to Iran.
