Sanjay Leela Bhansali is back to create history with his upcoming film, Love & War.
On Friday, September 25th, the Devdas filmmaker has unveiled the first look of Alia Bhatt from the new movie, which also stars her husband, Ranbir Kapoor.
In the first poster, the Heart of Stone actress is seen seated against an elaborate backdrop of red curtains and sparkling lights; the poster is also making noise on social media, with several suggesting that the look reminds them of a modern style of Aishwarya from her romance-drama movie, Guzaarish, released in 2010.
Alia herself gave the credit to Sanjay Leela Bhansali behind the creation of her role in Love & War, as she stated in her Instagram post, "Crafted by the one and only Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Love & War."
In the viral first poster, Alia is seen seated against an elaborate backdrop of red curtains and sparkling lights. She wears a wine-red sequinned outfit featuring a cropped blouse and a flowing skirt, paired with an elaborate headpiece and feathers.

Since the popular Indian director released the new poster, the Alpha actress’s new fashion adaptation has become the new talk of the town.
"THE FACE CARD, THE AURA, THE GLAMOUR!" one gushed.

Ranbir Kapoor's new look in Love & War
This update came after Sanjay Leela Bhansali unveiled Ranbir Kapoor's role as he officially introduced his character to the world.
Love & War will see the collaboration between Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal, who will be seen leading the new project.
Through this anticipated film, the Jigra actress will reunite with Sanjay Leela Bhansali after their historic period film, Gangubai Khathiawadi, released in 2022.
Despite the plot of Love & War being kept secret, fans have speculated that the new film will unfold a love triangle against the backdrop of war.
The romantic drama is slated to be released on January 21st, 2027.
