In a Friday, September 25 report, PEOPLE revealed that the Barbie actress secretly made a life-changing move ahead of her milestone 10th wedding anniversary with Tom Ackerley.
According to the update, the 36-year-old actress has dropped her famous last name “Robbie” from the official documentations and has adopted her husband’s surname “Ackerley” instead, marking a major move in their relationship.
The surprise news came after new business documents for LuckyChap Entertainment, the production company Margot runs with her husband, listed the Australian actress under her married name, “Margot Elise Ackerley.”
Her surprise name change was confirmed by the UK authorities on Wednesday, September 23.
Notably, in previous documentations, Margot was listed as “Margot Elise Robbie.”
Although her name appears to have changes, the Wuthering Heights star is expected to continue using “Margot Robbie” in her professional career.
She was credited as “Margot Robbie” for Sterling Point, a coming-of-age drama that premiered last month and is co-produced through LuckyChap Entertainment.
