Carrot Top is out of the hospital and recovering at home with his family following suicide attempt.
As reported by PEOPLE, a source shared that the performer (né Scott Thompson) said he is home with his family and doing well.
Police and his lawyers’ statements in court records reviewed by the outlet said he attempted to take his own life at home on September 18.
A police incident report states he was found near his backyard pool after calling someone on his team while distressed.
He was subsequently hospitalized in critical condition.

His health update came after a rep for the comedian revealed that he was “recovering in the hospital and is receiving the care and support he needs” on September 18.
“His family and those closest to him are deeply grateful for the concern, prayers and respectfully ask for privacy,” the rep added.
A source told that Thompson’s circle was “touched” by fans’ well-wishes.
His Las Vegas residency at Luxor remains on hiatus following his hospitalization, with his September 18 show appearing canceled on multiple ticketing sites.
In a statement on Sunday, a rep for Thompson told that he “remains hospitalized and under close medical care.”
“He is now awake, breathing on his own and continuing to improve, surrounded by his family and those closest to him. Humor has always been such an important part of who Scott is and how he connects with people, and that remains true today as he shares moments of humor with the medical staff caring for him,” the rep said.
They shared, “Many messages from fans have been shared with Scott, including stories from people about how his comedy helped them through difficult periods in their own lives. Hearing those stories and feeling that support has meant a great deal to him during his recovery.”
The rep added, “Scott and his family remain deeply grateful for the extraordinary kindness and continue to ask that his privacy be respected.”
