Zendaya re-wears 'Odyssey' press tour look in Paris amid Brigitte Macron row: Here's the twist

Zendaya has found herself in a bit of trouble after a viral Paris Fashion Week interaction with the First Lady of France, Brigitte Macron, but there's always a twist.

The Challengers actress continued her streak of being the IT fashion girl as she turned heads in a reimagined look at the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2027 show in Paris.

What did Zendaya wear at the Louis Vuitton show?

On Tuesday, October 6, Zendaya stepped out for the Paris Fashion Week, wearing part of a white lace look she previously wore during the Odyssey press tour.

For the star-studded outing, Zendaya rocked a white lace jacket with voluminous ruffles along the collar and down the sleeves.

She paired the stylish jacket with a simple white tank and a pair of blue jeans.

Zendaya accused of disrespecting Brigitte Macron

During the chic outing, Zendaya sparked an etiquette debate after she remained seated while greeting France's First Lady, Brigitte Macron.

The actress joined the A-list guest on the front row at the show, where she was joined by Emma Stone, Saoirse Ronan, BLACKPINK's LISA and Stray Kids' Felix.

Videos from the interaction showed Brigitte approaching Zendaya, as the actress appears to be engaged in conversations with another guest.

She then looked up, smiled and extended her hand to greet the First Lady, reportedly saying, "Hello, pleasure to meet you."

However, she remains in her seat throughout the exchange, which rubbed the internet the wrong way.

The internet reacts to Zendaya's 'disrespect'

"I love Zendaya, but this is a classic display of lack of home training. The American culture seems very relaxed about formalities in comparison to other cultures. Regardless of whether it's the First Lady or not, one should always rise when greeting someone else who is standing. It's common courtesy," one comment under the video read.

Another user added, "Zendaya could still get up... it doesn't matter who shakes her hand... Education, 0..."

"In every country, we stand up for the First lady or even for a stranger when we say hello. Utterly disappointed in you," a third user noted.

Brigitte Macron's twist

Meanwhile, Brigitte Macron, who is a former teacher, received her own share of backlash amid student protests across Paris over better conditions in the French public education system.

The main issues highlighted in the demonstrations are poor teacher-student ratios in classrooms, unreplaced staff absences and crumbling school infrastructure.

Netizens suggested that instead of attending the luxurious event, Brigitte should've acknowledged the student protesters.

"A former teacher at a fashion show while student protests are happening outside...," one user in the comment of the video questioned.

"For a former, uh very very former teacher, couldn't she go to meet high school students?" another user asked.
