Prince George is set to take a break from his school routine at Eton College to reunite with his parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William.
The school's official term calendar states that the boys' first “long leave” since starting at Eton College will run from Friday, October 23, through Sunday, November 8.
The school holiday will allow George to return home and join his parents, Prince William and Princess Catherine, alongside his younger siblings, Charlotte and Louis, for the Halloween and Bonfire Night celebrations.
However, the Wales family tends to keep its Halloween and Bonfire Night traditions private, but Princess Catherine has been spotted buying Halloween costumes for her children in previous years, suggesting the young royals enjoy the seasonal celebrations.
When it comes to Bonfire Night, there is a nearby option for the Wales family to enjoy the festivities, with Royal Windsor Racecourse hosting a fireworks display on 7 November.
Located less than 15 minutes from the family residence, the event is advertised as “a welcoming night out for family and friends as bonfire season draws to a close”.
George may have already returned home once this term, as Eton College’s first “short leave” ran from 2 to 4 October, giving boarding students the chance to spend a weekend away from school.
Prince George first term at Eton College
To note, Prince George, 13, began his first term at Eton College on September 8, 2026, following in the footsteps of his father, Prince William, who attended the prestigious Berkshire boarding school.
The young royal was accompanied by William and Kate Middleton on his first day and is now living as a boarder at Manor House, the same boarding house where his father and uncle once stayed.
