Bradley Walsh has been confirmed as Simon Cowell’s replacement on Britain’s Got Talent as auditions get underway in Blackpool.

The 66-year-old comedian posted a behind-the-scenes video from the opening day of auditions in Blackpool, appearing comfortable in his new role.

Giving a tour of the theatre and proudly showing off his name above the stage for voting, Bradley said, “Here we are. It's the first morning on BGT. It's going well, I'm enjoying it. Amanda, Alesha and KSI are so lovely to work with.”

BGT uploaded the video to their Instagram and wrote: “Not a bad first day at the office ey, Bradley! #BGT.”

Set to return in spring 2027, the show could see Fremantle shift three of its six filming days at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens to January so that the 67-year-old can still take part as head judge.

A source told The Sun last month, “Simon is of course gutted to be missing the auditions, but it's important that he rests up now so he can make a full recovery.”

They added, 'It was a routine op that went well and he knows the team will find a fun guest judge to spice up filming and keep the audience on their toes.

The source shared, “The current thinking is that producers will choose a male comedian to stand in for now, but decisions are being made currently.

The insider mentioned, “It's quite last-minute, so a lot of talent is already booked up for that period.”

Simon stepped away from filming America’s Got Talent in Los Angeles earlier this month, where he also underwent surgery.
