Meghan Markle is reportedly determined to improve her public image to change public opinion in the UK despite predictions that Brits will never warmly welcome her back to the country.
The Duchess of Sussex moved back to Britain in August with her husband, Prince Harry, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, despite knowing she isn’t popular across the UK.
Notably, Meghan has yet to officially make public gatherings in Britain, though she has been spending quality life in the UK.
Another report suggested that the duchess is gearing up to start making official public appearances soon.
Speaking about the duchess’s mindset now that she is back in the UK, a source close to Meghan stated she “loves taking on a challenge” and will “fight back” even if the hostility stays strong.
A source told the news outlet Express, “Meghan is very competitive, she loves taking on a challenge, and she’s coming back to the UK with the mindset that she can turn things around and win people over.”
“She’s heard all the predictions that she’ll never be welcomed in England again, but she’s refusing to just roll over and accept that as the truth. There was a time when all the hostility she’s facing across the pond would have taken her down, but she’s stronger than she was six years ago, and she’s insisting that she’s ready to stand up and fight back,” the source added.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's return to UK
In August 2026, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrived in Britain after six years of estrangement from the Royal Family.
Following their return, the couple enrolled their kids in a British school.
After living in the United States of America for nearly six years, Harry and Meghan have already started a new chapter on British soil.
