The Princess of Wales and Princess Charlotte enjoyed a mother-daughter outing on Saturday, taking the train for a day out together.
Catherine, 44, and Charlotte, 11, caught the attention of a fellow commuter as they travelled through central London on the Elizabeth line.
A source told HELLO! that the young princess seemed almost “amazed” while looking around the train carriage.
The insider shared, "They spoke to members of the public sitting across from them. They had security with them and Catherine held Charlotte's hand getting off at Tottenham Court Road. The security didn't make it obvious they were there and they tried to make it as 'normal' as possible.”
"Catherine had her phone with her and was looking at her phone for a couple of minutes. They seemed very relaxed and were chatting together, smiling. It was a brief interaction with people opposite them but they seemed very happy," the source noted.
The Princess of Wales wore a burgundy outfit with coordinating heels as she travelled with Charlotte, with the pair alighting at Tottenham Court Road.
While their destination remains unknown, Kate and Charlotte have previously enjoyed ballet outings together, including a Royal Ballet School performance at Opera Holland Park in July.
Although Kate regularly used the Tube before joining the royal family, the journey marked a rare public appearance on the Underground for Charlotte, who attends Lambrook Preparatory School in Berkshire.
Royals typically travel by motorcade or private helicopter.
