Miley Cyrus has revealed a chilling paranormal experience involving Dolly Parton.
During her Hollywood Bowl show, the Flowers hitmaker got emotional as she paid a touching tribute to her late godmother, who died at the age of 80 on August 25, 2026.
Speaking to the crowd at her concert, Cyrus shared about a particularly emotional moment when she was missing her godmother.
To cope with her emotions, she played Parton’s hit track Jolene and hugged her mannequin, which was gifted by the late singer to Cyrus.
“I’ll tell you something that you don’t know is that after our rehearsals, after planning the shows, I actually have a Dolly mannequin in my bedroom. She gave it to me for Christmas and it’s just like her, it’s built like her,” shared the Wrecking Ball singer.
She continued, “When I was by myself, I took my phone and played Jolene for her on video, and just hold the mannequin and lit a candle and I put a flower down the floor. I said ‘Dolly, if you’re here right now, flicker the lights.’ And I didn’t say anything out loud but the entire hallway started flickering.”
Cyrus added, “Maxx can vouch, he was there, but he didn’t know what I said. So I know she’s here with me tonight and I’m feeling some of the feelings that I’m most afraid of, but having her here with me is getting me through and having you with me is getting me through. This show is for you and for Dolly.”
Miley Cyrus performed at Hollywood Bowl on Friday, October 16, and Sunday, October 18, 2026.
