Russell Brand appeared on the fourth day of his sexual and rape trial at Southwark Crown Court with his wife, Laura Brand.
The English comedian is facing serious accusations from six different women linked to disturbing incidents allegedly taken place between 1999 and 2009.
Brand has pleaded not guilty to all seven charges, including three counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault and one count of indecent assault.
For his Monday, October 18 appearance, the 51-year-old wore a grey suit with a green necktie, alongside an open shirt and a crucifix.
Russell Brand had a 'weird maniacal grin' during alleged 2004 incident
During the appearance, the court heard that the actor had a "weird maniacal grin" on his face before he dragged a woman into a lavatory to rape her.
On the fourth day of his trial, jurors were played a recording of a police interview with the woman, who was in her 20s and working at MTV at the time of the alleged 2004 incident.
In the interview, she claimed she was attending a party at a bar in Soho when Brand grabbed her breasts in the middle of a conversation before he pulled her into a lavatory and orally raped her.
The complainant said she had been talking to Brand for less than a minute at the time the alleged incident began.
"I remember his big grin and it was like a clown," she said. "From one minute it was a normal conversation, there wasn't any sexual flirting or anything like that, it was a normal conversation about him being on Big Brother."
The woman said that after she left the toilet, she was "in a daze" and Brand suggested that they swap numbers. He was "acting completely normal, like we just met in a club or something", she added.
Russell Brand's trial opening
Last week during the opening of trial, Brand was described as having an "indiscriminate and voracious" desire for sexual contact and that "women were simply a means to an end".
Opening the case for the prosecution on Wednesday, Prosecutor Riel Karmy-Jones told jurors at Southwark Crown Court in London that the six women, who do not know each other, were assaulted in "a hotel room, workplaces, a toilet cubicle in a bar and at [Brand's] home address".
