King Charles had given Meghan Markle a “rare honor” before she had opted for an exit to the United States.

Michael Cole, who is a former royal correspondent from BBC, recently told GBN America that things had gone “so badly wrong” for her.

In a discussion, he pointed out the Duchess of Sussex’s jumpy relationship with her own family, and in particular with her “estranged father,” Thomas Markle.

The royal expert said, “It’s really hard to puzzle where it all went so badly wrong. She could not have been welcomed more into this country or the Royal Family.”

Terming it as a “rare honor,” he said that King Charles had showed kindness to Meghan Markle by offering to walk her down the aisle as “her estranged relationship with her father and most family members” had put her in an awkward situation otherwise.

“That was a great honor, and the late Queen Elizabeth II went out of her way to make a friend of Doria,” Michael Cole suggested.

According to him, the ex-Monarch befriended Doria, who is the Duchess of Sussex’s mother, and again a “great honor” for her.

But it is however to be kept in mind that Prince Harry openly criticized his family members for treating Meghan Markle badly through his memoir, Spare.
