Prince Edward ignored King Charles while expressing gratitude to the “outpouring” support brought to him by the royal family after his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, passed away.

As reported by Daily Mail, he sincerely opened up about the late Monarch’s death while giving duty as the Lord High Commissioner appointed by his elder brother.

On Saturday, May 18, the Duke of Edinburgh was stationed at the General Assembly of the Church with a side-role to welcome Dr. Reverend Shaw James Paterson, who has just joined as the new moderator for the General Assembly.

While doing so, he touched on the moral encouragement extended by royal chaplains since Queen Elizabeth’s demise.

“I just want to pay personal tribute to the chaplains of the Chapels Royal, and especially those here in Scotland. There have been moments recently where I have been lucky to have sensed God’s care and love,” Prince Edward said.

He added, “Who could forget the scenes that followed the passing of my mother? Outpouring of emotions, the demonstration of respect, love, and grief was overwhelming.”

Toward conclusion, the Duke of Edinburgh thanked them once again, then congratulated Dr. Paterson.

But in his entire speech, there was no mention of King Charles, making it seem as if his elder brother hasn’t been very supportive after Queen Elizabeth left them.

So far, King Charles hasn’t given any major part to Prince Edward, for which royal commentators have sighted “trust issues.”
