Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has finally broken his silence over a 2016’s video of him assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura.
A day after a disturbing video of the rap mogul from an LA hotel went viral, in which he was spotted beating Cassie and dragging her away, Diddy has finally come forward to make a shocking confession.
Taking to his Instagram account on Sunday morning, the Coming Home rapper shared a video of himself to address his fans’ outrage since the video resurfaced.
"It's so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life," Diddy said in the video which was captioned, “I am truly Sorry.”
He went on to confess, "Sometimes you gotta do that. I was f----- up. I mean I hit rock bottom but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable."
Diddy Combs continued, "I take full responsibility for my actions in that video."
"Disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it, I'm disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help, going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I'm so sorry, but I'm committed to be a better man. Each and every day," Diddy added.
He concluded his video message noting, that he is "not asking for forgiveness" and was "truly sorry."
This video message comes shortly after the District Attorney of Los Angeles issued a statement in which they confirmed that the video is “disturbing” but it cannot be prosecuted because of the time has been passed to the incident.
For the unversed, on Friday CNN released a surveillance video of Sean 'Diddy' Combs showing him involved in physical altercation with Cassie, which also aligns with the allegations she made in a now-settled lawsuit from last November.
