Prince William has taken up a major role at the upcoming “wedding of the year” as he has left Kate Middleton, King Charles, and Prince Harry behind for his attendance at the event.
As the Duke of Westminster, Hugh Grosvenor, will exchange wedding vows on June 7 next month, the Prince of Wales will be performing the role of an usher.
Both the royal members have remained close friends growing up together, and according to Mirror, this is exactly why Prince William has decided to show up alone from his close family members’ side.
It’s said that he has chosen to “leave Kate Middleton behind” for this important occasion as she can’t leave Adelaide Cottage during her cancer recovery.
As reported by Sunday Times earlier, Prince Harry will also not be present as Olivia Henson gets hitched to fiancé Hugh Grosvenor, who is however a godfather to Prince Archie.
While King Charles and Queen Camilla haven’t responded to their invites yet, it’s expected that neither of them are going to make it either since the marriage stands only three weeks away now.
On the other hand, Prince William had to budge his busy schedule for ensuring availability, which included saying goodbye to a sick Kate Middleton for a while.
