Sadiq Khan, who was re-elected as the Mayor of London in the historic third term last week, has given an answer to Donald Trump’s claim London ‘opened the door to extremism.’

According to the GBNews, Sadiq Khan, after taking charge of Mayor again, referring to Trump's claim that London has ‘opened the door to extremism’, said he ‘Couldn't be more wrong.”

Giving a speech following the election results on Saturday Khan noted, “The truth is, the results of this the election has proved Londoners have slammed the door shut on his brand of hard-right populism. 

He added, "Londoners have said no to racism, no to division and no to hate. And yes, once again, to diversity."

While speaking at the City Hall on Tuesday, the mayor described London as ‘the best city in the world’ and pledged, “We will do our utmost to ensure London becomes a byword for opportunity again. 

Mayor further promised, "A place where the barriers of class, race and gender are finally broken down forever. And where ladders of advancement are extended upwards for all."

Khan asserted, "I'm pledging to help make London the best city in the world to grow up in, working directly with young people to help develop new and innovative policies to support them from birth to feeling safe, securing a job and finding an affordable home."
