The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday, July 30, has decided to share his chairman duties with Waqar Younis.
As per Geo Super sources, the former head coach will focus on administrative matters.
Naqvi, who is also working as the Interior Minister of Pakistan, believes that a cricketer should look into matters related to the game.
Waqar will also take the decisions related to international and domestic cricket, the No Objection Certificates (NOCs), and the selection committee.
It is worth knowing that, as per PCB Constitution 2014, the chairman of the board has the authority to delegate his powers to anyone.
For the unversed, Naqvi earlier this month met with more than two dozen of the former and current cricketers of the country to discuss the future of Pakistan cricket after the disappointing performance of the team in the T20 World Cup 2024.
Naqvi assured the cricketers in the meeting that he would implement their suggestions.
