The USA gymnastics team, after showing tremendous performance in the qualifying round on Sunday, July 28, has entered the Paris Olympics 2024 finals.

Simone Biles, despite limping on her left leg due to a calf injury, dominated Sunday’s qualifying round.

According to Life and Style Magazine, after showing clinical performance on the balance beam with a score of 14.733, Biles coach Cecile Landi said that the 27-year-old athlete ‘felt a little something in her calf.’

She also received medical assistance during the competition.

Biles competed on the mat, uneven bars, and vaults, besides having issues with the calf. She also scored the highest (59.566) in Team USA, followed by Suni Lee’s 56.132.

After winning the qualifying round, the reporters asked Biles if she was ‘Ok’ amid a calf injury, to which she responded, “Yup! As good as I can be.”

Coach Landi asserted that the seven-time Olympic medalist’s injury was ‘minor’ and has been bothering her for a couple of weeks.

However, she emphasized that there was no discussion of sidelining Biles.

Linda said after the US qualified for the finals, “I can’t express it. I’m really proud of her (Biles) and what she’s been through, and what she’s showing the world is what she’s capable of doing.”
