Jamie Lee Curtis is mourning the devastating loss of her "first crush," Robert Carradine.

The Lizzie McGuire star, who was suffering from bipolar mental disorder, tragically passed away at the age of 71 on Tuesday, February 25, 2026.

As the news of his death shocked the world, his former flame, a renowned American actress, broke her silence after the sudden demise of her partner, who was also her first crush.

Sharing the never-before-seen old pictures from their romance era, Curtis emotionally recalled how she met the deceased artist.

"I woke up to the news that Robert Carradine died. I met him live on television on the Dinah Shore show when they had a bunch of second-generation actors, we would call them now Nepo babies, Veronica Cartwright, and Bobby and I came on last and Bobby rearranged where we were all sitting so that he could sit next to me and he kissed me, live on television," the film producer wrote on Instagram.

Curtis continued lamenting over the huge loss, as she revealed in her tribute that while dating the late actor, she did not realise that he was an actor until one fine day when the sun "hit" his face, she recognized him.

The veteran actress further shared that she and Robert remained amicable even after their breakup two years after their engagement.

Jamie Lee Curtis, who is married to Christopher Guest, and Robert Carradine announced their engagement in 1995, but ultimately parted ways two years later.
