Blake Lively has finally stepped forward to share a personal message after facing setback in her legal battle with Justin Baldoni.

In a statement posted to her Instagram Stories on April 3, the Gossip Girl actress share a statement, along with her attorney Michael Gottlieb’s response to the dismissal of most claims against her It Ends With Us co-star and director.

She began, “I will never stop doing my part in fighting to expose the systems and people who seek to harm, shame, silence and retaliate against victims.”

“I know it's a privilege to be able to stand up. I will not waste it,” Lively said, adding a dragon emoji.

Notably, the dragon emoji is seen as a nod to alleged messages comparing herself to the Khaleesi character and dubbing Reynolds and Swift her “dragons,” claims outlined in Baldoni’s January 2025 countersuit that was later dismissed.

“I'm grateful for the Court's ruling which allows the heart of my case to be presented to a jury next month, and for the ability to finally tell my story in full at trial, for my own sake, but also for those who don't have the same opportunity to... many of whom I have known and loved deeply in my life, and the countless I'll never know,” wrote Lively in her statement.

“The last thing I wanted in my life was a lawsuit, but I brought this case because of the pervasive RETALIATION I faced, and continue to, for privately and professionally asking for a safe working environment for myself and others. I hope the Court's decision shows others that, as unfathomably painful as it is, you can speak up,” continued the Green Lantern alum.

She urged fans not to be “distracted by the digital soap opera,” warning that “digital violence” causes real harm and calling it a widespread form of abuse.

A Simple Favour star closed by thanking those who have fought for change and safety, saying their support continues to give her strength.

Lively sued Baldoni in December 2024 over alleged on-set misconduct and a smear campaign, which he denied.

On Thursday, a judge dismissed 10 of her 13 claims but allowed others, including breach of contract and a retaliation claim, to proceed to a May 18 trial.
