After returning to the music scene with her new banger studio album, Daughter From Hell, the That’s So True hitmaker has defended her relationship with the Gladiator II actor.
While promoting her third musical collection, Gracie, 26, strongly reacted to the rumours that her boyfriend would impact her songwriting.
In her new interview with Rolling Stones for September's cover, the Oscar-nominated musician reacted to the misinterpretation of her previous remarks, in which she feared that writing music was threatening her sense of security and stability.

Defending her statement, Gracie told the outlet, "I was worried feeling secure and stable was threatening my drive to write music; it freaked me out."
She also lashed out at the rumours, saying, "That was my cue to be like, ‘Oh, remember why you don’t look [at social media]? Run with it, circus."
The Close to You crooner further clarified that her relationship with Paul has given her the confidence to explore new music; she added that she is deeply "inspired" by her boyfriend and his brain.
"And I was like, ‘Oh, s--t, how am I going to approach this?’ Or, you know, ‘How’s it going to impact the quantity of songs I write?’ And it’s had the most amazing effect on my writing," Gracie gushed.
