Lamine Yamal was left emotional yet stunned after seeing the bold hair transformation of his teammate Pablo Martín Páez Gavira, commonly known as Gavi.
As per media reports, several Spanish players made some daring promises and pledges if they managed to lift the World Cup trophy after a decade.
Gavi at time promised to dye his hair pink, Marc Cucurella said he will got a tattoo of Spain manager Luis de la Fuente’s face on his arm, Yamal promised to grow a beard, Pedro González López (Pedri) pledged to go blonde and even challenged Ferran Torres to go bald.
After Cucurella fulfilled his promise and got a tattoo of World Cup-winning coach Gavi, he also joined him by keeping his words and transforming his hair.
Gavi dyes his hair pink
Gavi showed the world that he is a man of his word after dyeing his hair pink.
Taking to Instagram early on Thursday, August 6, the Spanish footballer shook the internet after posting pictures in newly transformed pink hair.
Gavi, who turned 22 on Wednesday, reminded everyone of his promise and wrote, “A man of his word.”
His post not only got a reaction from his fans but also from his teammate Lamine Yamal.

The 19-year-old also reacted to the post and commented on crying emojis under the post, sparking fans’ questions about his promise of growing a beard.
Replying to Yamal’s comment, a user wrote, “GROW A BEARD, BRO.”
“You have to grow a beard, man,” another added.
The social media users not only reminded Yamal of his promise, but they also asked Pedri for a hair transformation.
A fan with a good memory commented, “@pedri You're the one missing, don't play dumb.”
Yamal, who was recently enjoying his holidays after the FIFA World Cup with his girlfriend Ines Garcia, remained tight-lipped on his promise.
Meanwhile, Pedri has previously issued a clarification and told his fans that he remembered his promise and will soon fulfill it.
He said, “After finishing the trip to China and before returning to Barça, I will dye my hair white or blonde, as I promised before the World Cup."
For the unversed, Spain became the world champion for the second time in the history after beating Lionel Messi’s Argentina in the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals on 19 July, at New York New Jersey Stadium.
