On Thursday, August 13, Jhope, whose real name is Jung Ho-seok, shared several videos on his personal Instagram of himself and RM dancing and singing at Chris Brown's show, drawing immense backlash, as the singer has been facing a number of allegations linked to physical and sexual assault.

The new scrutiny came when the band was already being dragged by their fans, dubbed ARMY, for their collab with Google Gemini, with fans using the hashtag "ArmysAgainstAI" to show their disdain.

"AI ads and chris brown support… are they trying to remind us that they’re men and we should be disappointed in them or what," one fan penned on X.

Another post read, "If a cool ad is enough to get you guys to overlook that the product they are advertising is on track to destroy the planet, then i don't even know what to tell you. no, it is not useful. no, google gemini can't and won't be used for good. i hate this. #ARMYAgainstAI."

"Knowing your fandom is 90% women… and going out of ur way to attend a chris brown concert, lord take me i’m ready like idek what to say to this i am a woman before anything and theres no way namseok did not know, taekook listening to it casually was bad enough but attending," a third post added.

A fourth fan noted, "Chris brown is a well known abuser and usher is equally disgusting as well , people have the right to be disappointed in hobi and joon , bc it’s INCREDIBLY disappointing."

"First that gemini ad now a chris brown concert wrap it up," said another fan.

The Chris Brown's concert appearance came a day after another member of BTS, V, revealed that he has been dealing with hearing issues for more than two years.

In a recent livestream, the singer, whose real name is Kim Tae-hyung, shared that he has been receiving reinstatement for hearing loss in one ear.

"If the hearing in my left ear is at 100, it's only about 30 in my right," said V.

The concerning update came midway through the band's highly-anticipated world tour, The Arirang World Tour, which kicked off in April in South Korea.
