Travis Kelce revealed that his brother, Jason Kelce, once woke him up with a phone call that left Taylor Swift describing the situation as “f---ed up.”
Jason Kelce gave his younger brother, Travis, and Taylor Swift an early-morning wake-up call, prompting a lighthearted conversation on the brothers’ New Heights podcast.
During the October 21 episode, they also talked about Jason taking part in the “Squatober” challenge.
“I knew Jason was doing Squatober,” Travis said.
He added, “He actually asked me how much weight I have in my basement. I didn’t even add it up. I just told him how many weights I had. And he was like, ‘Oh, okay, cool, I’ll bring some.’ So he flew to Kansas City with — what was it, 50 lbs.?”
The retired NFL star said he brought two 25-pound weights with him on his trip to Kansas City, Missouri, to work on his squats.
“A couple extra plates to throw on the old squat bar,” Travis said, before adding, “Absolutely hilarious, the most meathead thing I think I’ve ever seen Jason do.”
“I get a call at 7:30 in the morning. In my mind, I’m thinking worst-case scenario,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end explained.
He noted, “I’m like, ‘Oh, s---. Is everything okay? Maybe after the run Jason’s in the hospital, he blew his knee out or something.’ I dunno, I was worst-case scenario, the brain was just waking up. I was like, ‘Uhh, you okay?’”
Jason had called to ask Travis to spot him during a workout.
Travis recalled agreeing after learning it was a bench press, joking that he couldn’t have helped if Jason had been doing a back squat.
Although Travis readily agreed to join Jason for a workout, Swift was less impressed by the proposal.
“I’m walking out of the room, and Taylor’s like, ‘This is f---ed up.’ And I’m just like, ‘Nah, it’ll be good. It’ll be good!’ ” Travis added as he and Jason cracked up.
Swift and Kelce went public with their relationship in September 2023 when she attended her first Chiefs game.
Kelce proposed in August 2025, and the couple married in a lavish Manhattan ceremony on July 3, 2026, surrounded by family and close friends.
