Lewis Hamilton penned an emotional note after dicey radio messages during the Dutch Grand Prix.
The Briton admitted that he went too far while expressing his frustration during the race as he publicly apologized for his words.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, August 24, the seven-time Formula One world champion called the Dutch GP a “tough weekend” that left “valuable points” for the teams and signs that Ferrari is moving in the right direction.
The 41-year-old wrote, “I’m incredibly proud of everyone back at the factory who continues to bring updates, find performance, and push us forward. To the team at the track, thank you. The commitment and effort never go unnoticed. We still have work to do, particularly over one lap, but we’ll keep digging in, learning and improving together.”

He concluded the post by thanking fans for “sticking with us” and him as he vowed to keep building, pushing, and fighting.
What happened at the Dutch Grand Prix?
According to Mirror UK, boasting a four-lap tyre advantage over teammate Charles Leclerc, Hamilton was significantly faster on Lap 42 and urged his team to allow him past for what was then second place.
Leclerc was in no rush to comply, however, leaving Hamilton visibly irritated and unable to conceal his frustration over team radio.
The Brit said, “Great way of wasting time, guys, good job.”
Even after the pit stop, Hamilton was leading the race while eventual winner Lando Norris and Kimi Antonelli were chasing him, prompting him to question team strategy.
He said, "Are you using me as a guinea pig or what? What's going on? How long will you have me stay out?"
The radio messages went viral and sparked social media buzz. Hamilton at the end claimed P4 and is now trailing the Italian by 59 points, level with former Mercedes teammate George Russell, who secured P3.
