Samsung has expanded its One UI 9 Beta program to a range of Galaxy devices, bringing the forthcoming software update to multiple handsets and foldable in September.
One UI 9 is based on Android 17, marking the company’s next significant software update. Samsung has launched Android 17 on the latest Galaxy foldable models, revealing that development of the operating system is progressing toward a broader launch.
The Galaxy S25 series launched Android 16 around the middle of September in 2025, followed by updates for the predecessors and foldables later that month.
While this year’s schedule is seemingly slightly behind the previous launch, Samsung’s latest beta expansion indicates that the stable release could be approaching.
Galaxy users with eligible devices can join the One UI 9 Beta program via the Samsung Members app.
To participate, users are required to open the app and look for the “One UI Beta Program” banner or card. Clicking it will provide instructions to register and download the beta software.
As with any beta launch, users should expect possible bugs and performance related issues. Samsung is likely to continue experimenting with One UI 9 across supported devices ahead of the broader release of stable Android 17.
