Ed Sheeran's concert conclusion turned into horror show after six crew members were rushed to a hospital because of a forklift incident
The terrifying incident happened during the load-out process after Ed's concert at Ford Field in Detroit.
The Detroit Fire Department responded to a "folklift injury accident" at the stadium around 11 p.m.
Multiple workers said they were headed on a break during their shift when the equipment "lost control" and hit "several of them" as the stage was being torn down near a vehicle tunnel.
Injuries details linked to the forklift incident
One crew member was released from a hospital Sunday after an overnight stay.
Another crew member who was hit in the chest told the outlet he'd "never experienced anything like that" and that everything "happened in a split second".
Moreover, it was reported that none of the workers sustained life-threatening injuries.
During transportation, two patients were in serious condition while the other four were in stable condition.
Ford Field reacts to the accident
Additionally, the venue claimed one of those injured was an employee at Ford Field.
"Ford Field has begun a full review and is cooperating with the appropriate authorities and with the event’s production partners," the stadium shared.
The statement added, "Out of respect for the people involved and the integrity of that review, we will not speculate on the cause. We are grateful to the Detroit Fire Department and EMS for their rapid response."
Ed Sheeran has embarked on the Loop Tour in January in support of his eighth studio album, Play.
The tour, which included 57 concerts, resumes on September 4 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and is scheduled to end on December 12 in Mexico City.
