Disney has canceled Alex Cooper’s Hulu dating reality series Love Overboard before its planned debut, marking a major setback for the media personality’s latest television project.
Following Bloomberg reporting earlier this month that Alex Cooper’s Unwell beverages were being discontinued, Page Six has learned that her Hulu reality show is also being canceled.
Disney is ending Love Overboard, produced by Unwell Productions, after one season.
According to insiders, the reality show failed to find its audience, resulting in its cancellation.
The podcaster served as an executive producer on the dating show, hosted by former Bachelorette star and Traitors winner Gabby Windey.
The show premiered on March 26 and marked Cooper’s first foray into unscripted television.
While Love Overboard failed to sail, the Call Her Daddy host and her recently launched Unwell Productions banner have a handful of TV projects in the works.
Her breakthrough came with Call Her Daddy, the female-focused dating and sex podcast that launched on the Barstool Sports platform.
Cooper was called “arguably the most successful woman in podcasting” by Time after landing a lucrative $60 million three-year Spotify deal.
Despite setbacks involving her reality show and juice line, Cooper’s business continues to grow.

Unwell recently secured investment from Patrick Whitesell’s WTSL, reportedly valuing the company at $500 million.
Despite the cancellation, Disney is not severing ties with the podcaster, according to a source.
“Disney has a great relationship with Alex and is in development with her on a few projects,” they said.
Hulu announced in June that Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley will star in You Deserve To Know, a new drama produced by Cooper’s Unwell.
Perhaps scripted television will be a stronger path for Cooper than reality programming.
The brand adopted its current name as it expanded into products including Unwell Focus, Unwell Protein and Unwell Energy.
Its shutdown comes amid growing backlash against Cooper, much of it linked to allegations about her husband Matt Kaplan’s treatment of Unwell Network staff.
