Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly turned down Princess Diana's brother's warm offer.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived in the UK last week to begin a new chapter of their life with kids Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet in Cotswold.

Even before their return, reports had already confirmed that Harry and Meghan will be living at a private estate outside London, insiders close to the Sussexes have claimed that Earl Charles Spencer had offered them a property at Althorp House.

However, the duke and duchess rejected Charles Spencer's offer right away after Meghan's verdict on The Falconry, the historic 17th-century lodge.

“Harry was genuinely moved because Althorp will always be sacred ground to him,” a source Rob Shuter.

They went on to explain, “But Meghan took one look at the reality and knew it wouldn’t work. Too remote, too far from London and, frankly, not nearly grand enough.”

“Meghan isn’t moving back to Britain to hide away in an old lodge in Northamptonshire,” added the insider.

The source further claimed that Meghan wants “privacy, history and security — but she also expects serious luxury, substantial space and easy access to London. This wasn’t even close.”

“Harry’s heart loved the idea; Meghan’s head killed it,” the insider noted, adding, “He saw family and memories. She saw isolation and compromise.”
