Tina Knowles has celebrated daughter Beyoncé on her 45th birthday, praising the superstar for “constantly making history” and reflecting on her remarkable career.
The 72-year-old mother of Queen Bey took to Instagram on Friday, September 4, to celebrate her elder daughter’s 45th birthday by sharing a special photo from the day she was born.
“Reminiscing on this day 45 years ago,” Tina captioned a sweet hospital photo of herself staring at her newborn daughter.
She added, “You took nine hours to come. And I am exhausted in this photo, but the happiest I’ve ever been in my life up to this point on this day. We are making our first eye contact.”
Tina mentioned, “The connection is so strong and so beautiful and so powerful. It’s never been broken and it never will.”
She praised “Out of all the beautiful things about you, the thing I love the most is your huge heart ! It is the thing that I’m the most proud of. You are an extraordinary human being first.”
Tina also acknowledged the scrutiny Beyoncé has faced while celebrating her daughter’s 45th birthday.
“Even through all the sometimes terrible noise you keep going and moving forward,” she wrote.
Tina shared, “Creating, loving, lifting up others, constantly making history, and using that genius mind, working your butt off, minding your own damn business, and living your life to the fullest. Happy Birthday I love you.”
Beyoncé marks milestone while keeping Act III plans under wraps
Beyoncé’s 45th birthday coincides with the 20th anniversary of B’Day, prompting the Grammy winner to release a deluxe edition of the acclaimed album.
Her deluxe reissue adds new tracks and multiple versions of fan favourites, including five versions of Get Me Bodied and four versions of Irreplaceable.
Notably, Beyoncé has kept fans guessing about Act III, with the highly teased project reportedly expected to embrace rock after the disco and country sounds of its predecessors.
