The WWE roster has undergone a major change once against, with a slew of wrestles parting ways with the company.

On Friday, September 4, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com released a 10-member list of the new WWE cuts.

The released wrestlers included Adriana Rizzo, Anya Rune, Braxton Cole, Ellen Akesson, Gary Wilson, Jasper Troy, Marcus Brown, PJ Vasa, Wendy Choo, and Zena Sterling.

This is the second time such a large wave of WWE cuts has occurred in 2026. The last one was announced shortly after WrestleMania, April 24, 2026, and included names such as Kairi Sane, Aleister Black, Apollo Crews, Bo Dallas/Uncle Howdy, Nikki Cross and Joe Gacy.

Jasper Troy, WWE Speed champion and Season 1 Men’s LFG winner, was the first to confirm his departure from the company with a simple social media post that read, "30 days."

All released NXT talents have a 30-day waiting period before they can move on to other promotions.

The 28-year-old, whose real name is Antoine Frazier, signed with WWE out of college, where he played football with the University of Kansas and the University of Northern Iowa, in August 2022, and began his professional wrestling career at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

PJ Vasa breaks silence on WWE released

Reacting to the release announcement, Vasa, a former rugby player who debuted on Evolve last November, who will become a free agent in 30 days, said on his social media account, "God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good! Fa’afetai I le atua."

The latest cuts appear to be focused on WWE's developmental system. PWInsider previously reported that main roster releases were not expected to be part of this particular round.
