As the fallout over Macklemore’s removal from Ed Sheeran’s US tour intensified Tuesday, the Love Me Like You Do singer posted a heart emoji on X, prompting fans to flood the comments and call the move “iconic.”
One user noted, “Objectively funniest thing she could’ve tweeted right now. Not a word. Not a joke. Just a single heart. Honestly iconic.”

Others simply begged Ellie to elaborate, with one replying, “girl say words. wtf does a heart mean.”

After that on Tuesday, September 15, the opening acts Finneas, Lukas Graham, Aaron Rowe and Beoga each announced that they would no longer take part in Sheeran’s ongoing Loop Tour.
The final show for Sheeran’s Loop Tour is scheduled for November 7 in Tampa, Fla.
