J Balvin and Valentina Ferrer have called it quits.
The 32-year-old Argentine actress and model took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, September 16, to share a shocking update, announcing her split from the 41-year-old Colombian singer after nearly a decade of their relationship.
“After sharing so many years and important moments together, José and I have decided to take separate paths,” she wrote in Spanish, referring to the singer by his birth name, José Álvaro Osorio Balvín.
She explained that the decision was made mutually and in a peaceful way and with their family at the center of it.
“It has been a decision made from love, respect and the desire to do what is best for our family. Our priority will continue to be always accompanying Río with all our love,” Ferrer continued.
The model concluded, “We are going through this process calmly and deeply appreciate the understanding and respect toward this very personal moment for us.”
