Travis Kelce once again made NFL (National Football League) history in the presence of his wife, Taylor Swift.
According to Herald Leader, as the Kansas City Chiefs claimed a thrilling 33-30 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, September 20, Kelce achieved another milestone despite not showing up on the scoreboard.
Kelce set the tone early. The tight end hauled in a 13-yard touchdown for his first score of the season, part of a nine-catch, 101-yard night that averaged 11.2 yards per reception.
His first touchdown of the season sparked wild celebrations in his VIP suit, where Taylor Swift stood up from her seat to celebrate his first score of 2026 by showing off her wedding ring and shouting, "That's my husband.”
He got there in the first half, then added a touchdown. Larry Centres, Terrell Owens and Steve Smith round out the top five.
During the game, the Chiefs announced that Kelce had set the NFL record for most yards after the catch, passing Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk for the top spot.
It’s another notch on an already decorated resume for the 36-year-old, who racked up 443 yards after the catch in 2025.
Patrick Mahomes and Kenneth Walker shine
Harrison Butker kicked two field goals in overtime, the second a 40-yarder that Patrick Mahomes and Kenneth Walker III set up as time expired, giving the Chiefs a win, NBC News reported.
Mahomes finished with 382 yards passing and three touchdowns, Walker ran for 117 yards, and Travis Kelce looked like a younger version of himself with nine catches for 101 yards and a score as the Chiefs improved to 2-0.
Daniel Jones had 210 yards passing with a touchdown and a pick for the Colts. Jonathan Taylor had 92 yards rushing and two TDs.
The Chiefs thought they had won the game earlier in overtime on a bizarre sequence of events.
The Chiefs took over once more with 3:11 left in the extra session, and they handed off to Walker on three straight plays to reach midfield. But the backbreaker for Indianapolis was a 22-yard pass to the running back, which set up Butker’s winning kick.
