Presley Gerber’s possible cause of death is out.
In the latest update on Monday, September 21, TMZ reported that Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber’s son, who passed away at the young age of 27, reportedly died of fatal drug overdose.
According to insiders with direct knowledge, Presley’s family has been told that his death occurred as a result of a suspected overdose.
The outlet also reported that the 27-year-old had been “staying in a separate house on the grounds of the L.A. area rehab facility” and was “living with several other people at a rehab facility.”
However, the Medical Examiner is yet to determine the official cause of death, which will be known after an autopsy.
The autopsy will include toxicology testing, which will reveal if there was anything in his system at the time of his passing.

His mother, Cindy Crawford’s publicist, while confirming the news, stated, “The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”

Three years before, Presley Gerber opened up about his mental health and substance abuse struggles.
Speaking at the Studio 22 podcast, he said, “Having struggled with mental health, depression, and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do.”
“(Mental health) is an issue. It is such a big part of my life. It’s a 24/7 job, and there’s so much to it. That’s really what I want to do: help people, whether they're depressed or you’re struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body. I mean, it could be anything, and there’s no judgment,” Presley added.
He also shared that he had seen a lot of stuff and had learned a lot of things, and that he hoped he could have made the mistakes for other people so they would not have to make the same mistakes he had made.
