Earl Spencer has shared photo with late Princess Diana, just hours after surprising revelation about her sons, Princes William and Harry.
Taking to his Instagram account on Tuesday, September 22, on the same day his memoir, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister is set to hit the shelves, Charles shared a nostalgic memory with his late sister.
The ninth Earl of the Spencer family shared a photo of him with Lady Diana, featuring the sister-brother duo sitting on a wall-coping in matching puffer jackets while affectionately looking at each other.
Earl Spencer had disabled the comments on the captionless photo as it came amid his war of words with King Charles as the memoir also includes some shocking claims against the monarch.
This emotional post came after Earl Charles Spencer's exclusive interview with PEOPLE magazine was published.
In his exclusive conversation with the outlet, Charles was asked about how William and Harry reacted to the idea of a memoir about their late mother.
To which he responded, "I told them at the same time, and all I would say is one was... So all four of them [William and Harry and Sarah and Jane], I told them exactly the same time."
He went on to explain, "And I can say that Harry is completely fine about it. He said, I hope there's nothing embarrassing about him in it. I said, "There isn't.".
"I think they were actually worried where I was going up to with the book. It pretty much ends in 1997 with Diana's death, and there's a tiny postscript by the grave," he added.
The author further noted, "So I think there was this, "Gosh, what's he written about?" And I think it's natural that people so in the public eye are concerned how they will come across in the book."
"But I could reassure both of them that they're of course in the book, but really as examples of two little boys who had the most exceptional mother, I'm not in any way compromising their privacy at all," he added.
