Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly least bothered by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's first-ever joint engagement in the UK.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex - who returned to the UK in August, are set to make their first public appearance as a couple in Nottingham, tomorrow, October 15th.
As Royal watchers wait for the Sussexes to relive their Nottingham memories, where they first appeared together after their engagement in 2017, royal expert, Russell Myers has offered insights into William and Catherine's true feelings on Harry and Meghan's big move.
In his conversation with Vanity Fair, Russell noted, "William and Catherine have quietly supported each other away from their public life over the last couple of years due to Catherine's health crises and the king's health woes, but what they have really missed is supporting each other in public. Now we are seeing a return to that."
He went on to suggest, "The palace and Foreign Office are planning various official engagements while the couple are in [India], highlighting the prince and princess's soft-power roles."
"The British government will see this as a chance to secure some form of diplomacy, and they will be doing other engagements outside of Earthshot" added the biographer of William & Catherine: The Intimate Inside Story.
"They are making their presence felt and at a time when it matters" Russell claimed.
Citing an inside source, the royal correspondent claimed that while Kate and William "do not see life as a competition" with Sussexes, "It's no coincidence that they are doing more together."
"They want their roles to be very clearly separate from what Harry and Meghan are doing, and the brief from them is to stay focused on their work and causes and not be distracted by anything else," added the source.
The insider also noted that "They are making their presence felt and at a time when it matters."
