The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have quietly downsized their Archewell Productions company amid their return to the UK and business troubles.

As reported by Page Six, a source shared that the production house has reduced staff in the last "12 to 18 months".

It was also revealed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's company is now just operating with a handful of employees at its Raleigh Studio offices in Los Angeles.

The staffing reductions impacted production crews hired to work on projects like With Love, Meghan, and Harry & Meghan, not full-time employees of Archewell Productions.

Despite the downsizing and the pair returning to the UK with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, Archewell Productions is continuing to maintain its Hollywood office.

The staffing reductions come amid mounting questions about the Sussexes' future in Hollywood and their relationship with Netflix.

About the Archewell Productions

Harry and Meghan launched Archewell Productions in 2020 after stepping back from their roles as senior working members of the royal family.

The company went on to produce several projects for Netflix, including the couple’s 2022 docuseries, Harry & Meghan, and the Duchess' lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan.

Harry & Meghan was released as a six-part limited series, while With Love, Meghan has not been renewed for a third season, although the possibility of future specials has not been ruled out.

However, their partnership with the streaming service has faced scrutiny amid reports of behind-the-scenes tensions and questions about the performance of their projects.

In March, Variety reported that Archewell Productions had struggled to deliver successful programming and that its relationship with Netflix had become increasingly strained.

The report came as the pair were wholeheartedly welcomed in Nottingham during their first official joint outing since returning to the UK.
