An Emirati royal was photographed passed out on a London street with a toddler after using cocaine earlier this year.
How was the royal discovered in London?
Mahrah Al Nahyan, a member of the Abu Dhabi royal family through marriage, was discovered barefoot and slumped against metal railings by concerned members of the public in a West London street in June.
As reported by the Times of London, Al Nahyan admitted to consuming cocaine in the days leading to the shocking incident, and it was shared that she was too disoriented to respond to police for half-an-hour.
During Tuesday's sentencing, a judge heard that a passerby also noticed a child, who was "unattended, without shoes", on the street with a scooter.
With Al Nahyan unresponsive, members of the public were forced to intervene as the child was in close proximity to moving traffic.
Officers searched Al Nahyan and found drug paraphernalia but no illegal substances, according to police.
The Abu Dhabi royal family is worth an estimated $300 billion, making them one of the wealthiest dynasties in the world.
Mahra h Al Nahyan admits charge
Al Nahyan admitted one charge of child neglect and has been undergoing treatment for drug addiction at a rehab clinic since the incident, her defense attorney, Stephen Vullo KC, told the judge.
"She intends to complete all of the steps of a three-month programme which will come to an end at the end of this month," he said.
He added that she intends to rent a house close to the rehab clinic and become a day patient to attend Narcotics Anonymous following the end of the programme.
"She made a grave mistake that day, and she knows it," Vullo said.

Moreover, she received a monthly allowance of just over $10,500.
