Queen Letizia is revisiting her pre-royal days with a special move.

On Thursday, October 15, the Spanish Queen stepped out with King Felipe for a major engagement at the Barcelona Fair, where they presided over the 75th edition of the Premio Planeta de Novela.

For the evening, the 54-year-old Queen decided to revive a sentimental piece of jewelry that she holds close to her heart.

Dressed in an elegant, floor-length black evening gown featuring short sleeves and a striking cutout neckline with straps crossing over the chest, Letizia stunned in a sophisticated look for the formal evening event.

To accessorize, she wore sparkling dangling earrings and a ring, and styled her dark hair in soft waves that framed her face and flowed down past her shoulders.

While her whole look was eye-catching, it was Queen Letizia’s sentimental jewelry piece that caught the attention.

The Royal added sparkle to her wrist by wearing a diamond bracelet, which she previously wore more than two decades ago before marrying King Felipe.

Letizia last wore the statement piece in May 2024 at a pre-wedding event in Copenhagen, which she attended with her then-fiancé Felipe, a day before the wedding of Denmark’s now-King Frederik and Queen Mary, according to HOLA! Spain.

In less than two weeks, the Spanish couple also tied the knot on May 22, 2004, in a grand royal ceremony in Madrid, Spain.

About Queen Letizia and King Felipe’s new engagement

Taking to Instagram, the Spanish Royal Family shared, “The Kings have presided over tonight, at the Barcelona Fair, the presentation of the Planeta Prize 2026 to Isabel Allende for her novel 'The hour before dawn'. Congratulations also to finalist Sergio Hernández Carrasco, author of 'La Añoranza'.”

They continued, “In his speech, the King emphasized that "every October 15th — a date that evokes Teresa, wife of Jose Manuel Lara — the Planeta Prize has given room to a plurality of voices and perspectives, recognized consolidated literary trajectories and contributed to the discovery of new authors.”

Alongside the details, the Royals also posted a carousel of photos from the evening.
