Released in partnership with The Queen’s Reading Room charity to mark the National Year of Reading 2026, the program offers an intimate glimpse into Her Majesty's private life and childhood favorites.

During the broadcast, the Queen reflects on how stories transformed her early education, recalling a teenage love for romance novels.

Queen Camilla discusses Previous Engagements, a moving wartime memoir penned by her late father, Major Bruce Shand, about his time as a prisoner of war.

Furthermore, she shared a rare insight into her marriage, describing how she and King Charles III love spending quality time together while reading together in afternoon time.

Beyond her personal reflections, the documentary highlights four extraordinary individuals whose lives were completely transformed by literature, including an adult learner named Peter.
