Miley Cyrus has responded to the criticism surrounding her comeback show at the Hollywood Bowl.
The Hannah Montana alum returned to the stage on October 16 at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in LA, following which her comeback became the subject of criticism on social media, with some questioning her energy and commitment during the performance.
Miley Cyrus reacts to the Hollywood Bowl criticism
On Sunday night, October 18, the singer addressed the crowd, calling out "clickbait" videos that accused Miley of not giving her all during performance.
"I've never heard that I don't put my heart into something," she told the audience at her second Bowl concert on Sunday night.
Hinting at the criticism, she added, "I don't know if any of you heard that. That somebody was doing commentary to get clickbait on their video talking about my show on Friday night, but I'm a lot of things and we're not even going to entertain that."
Miley, who had not performed live in four years prior to Friday night, said that it is "hard" for her to the stage after a lengthy break, noting, "It does not come as natural as it once did to be before. Because, like all of us, we change, we evolve, we grow, and we find what gets to come with us. What continues to fit."
She added, "I can take a lot, but one thing I will not stand is any question about where my heart is when I'm on the stage. Not one. I am fully present."

Before her fiery speech, Miley also referenced the criticism during her performance of Bass Persuaders, as she said while singing, "Oh I forgot, I'm supposed to sing every fucking word."
On the other hand, Miley paid an emotional tribute to her late godmother, Dolly Parton, who passed away at the age of 80 on August 25.
Notably, Miley Cyrus performed at Hollywood Bowl on Friday, October 16, and Sunday, October 18, 2026.
