Legendary Irish rock band U2 is set to headline the halftime show for the NFL’s first-ever Thanksgiving Eve game.
The historic matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Los Angeles Rams will stream live globally on Netflix on Wednesday, November 25, from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Coverage begins at 6 p.m. ET, with kickoff scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.
A milestone performance
This special appearance aligns with U2 celebrating 50 years since forming in Dublin back in 1976. It marks the band’s major return to an NFL football stage nearly a quarter-century after their iconic Super Bowl XXXVI halftime performance in 2002. The upcoming show will be produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment.
Expanding live streaming capabilities
Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos praised the booking, noting that U2 consistently delivers unforgettable stadium moments that captivate global audiences.
The holiday event highlights the streaming giant’s aggressive push into live sports broadcasting, following previous major NFL music events featuring stars like Beyonce and Snoop Dogg.
Easy access for viewers
All active Netflix subscribers can watch the halftime show without extra fees. Local broadcast options on NBC will also be available for fans in the Los Angeles and Green Bay markets.
The high-profile concert arrives just weeks after the release of U2’s brand-new studio album.
