Ayushmann Khurrana has opened up about wanting to be India’s number one risk-taking actor.
On Monday, March 18, he was honored with Maharashtra Press' Star of the Decade category, where his brief speech was noted by Bollywood Hungama.
“As an actor I have always attempted to walk the road untraveled and this involved a risk. But then there is no fun without risk. For all you journalists, you take a risk while breaking exclusive stories,” he said.
The star continued, “I enjoy bringing to the forefront stories that are taboo, are risky. I feel life is a sum total of all the risks you take and here I am today trying to still be the most risk-taking actor wanting to make my country proud.”
He then acknowledged the awarding committee for affirming his script choices with their support.
Ayushmann aired, “Thank you for this validation. It means a great deal. It feels very special because I came to this city with my eyes full of dreams and I have been fortunate.”
Despite having become a rising celebrity, his filmography remains diversified with both small-budget and medium-budget pictures.
Movies such as Bewakoofiyaan, Meri Pyaari Bindu, and Dream Girl have been balanced off with Gulabo Sitabo, An Action Hero, and Bala.
It’s evident that even with fame, he remains grounded to his core and works for the passion of acting.
