The renowned stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui, who rose to the new heights of fame after winning Bigg Boss 17, shared his first photo following his recent arrest in Mumbai.

Shortly after being detained and released during a hookah bar raid earlier on Tuesday, Faruqui turned to his Instagram stories on Wednesday morning to share a selfie, in which he could be seen flashing a smile for the camera.

The 32-year-old comedian rocked a blue T-shirt and a cap in a close-up picture, which was punctuated with the time stamp as 04:55.

Alongside the photo, Faruqui wrote a brief caption, "Tired and travelling (sparkles emoji)." 

He also pinned the location of Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

As reported by PTI, the senior police officer of the Social Service branch of Mumbai conducted a raid at a hookah bar in Bora Bazar area around 10.30 pm on Tuesday.

A senior police official revealed, "During the raid, the police found stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui and others smoking hookahs at the joint. We also have a video of their act. We detained Faruqui and others, but they were later allowed to go as the sections slapped against them were bailable."
