Selena Gomez had been “so depressed” during her “It Girl era,” when she was still dating ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber.
Now happily dating current romance Benny Blanco, she reflected on feeling sad previously whenever a large group of paparazzi would photograph her in public.
The singer is famous for being quite active on Instagram, where she recently commented on an old footage uploaded by a fan account, as per Daily Mail.
In the throwback video, numerous photographers were continuously snapping shots of Selena Gomez, who was busy posing with an admirer.
Interestingly, the clip was set to Justin Bieber’s 2015 song Company, making it a dig at him dumping her because of “incompatibility” after seeing each other for a long while.
The snippet also featured a caption, saying, “I know and so do you that at the time Selena Gomez would never have gotten engaged to Benny Blanco when she was in her IT GIRL era.”
This meant that the vocalist’s former self would’ve never gotten involved with Benny Blanco as she had much higher standard because of being the apple of Hollywood’s eye in those days.
Selena Gomez cleared the air, writing, “Kinda makes me laugh because I was so depressed back then lol.”
