Katie Price has prompted a court judge to issue warrant for her arrest after repeatedly failing to attend hearings on her bankruptcy case.
Catherine Burton, who is the judge for insolvency and companies court, said that the media personality was given “very clear warnings” beforehand for attending Tuesday’s session.
In this sitting at London’s specialist bankruptcy court, Katie Price had to answer questions regarding her finances.
These inquires were to be made by barristers representing the trustee’s side in two bankruptcy proceedings of hers.
As per The Guardian, a judge present at a previous hearing had already informed that she’s risking arrest if continued missing court dates, and that evidence should be provided for any further absences.
When issuing warrant for the former model’s detainment, Catherine Burton announced that she had “failed to attend today’s hearing” without any explanation submitted to the court.
The justice evaluator said, “It is in my judgment necessary that the court issue a warrant for Ms. Katie Price’s arrest. She has no real excuse in failing to attend today’s hearing.”
“The reason for her absence today is irrelevant,” she added.
